Little Golden Money Bags

My dearest husband has a love for all chinese food. I recalled being a little kitchen assistant for my mum when I was young! My mum would get me to work on the easy stuff! That includes wrapping wantons!

These deep fried little wrapped dumplings taste delicious and it’s so easy to make that it made it into our one fine home for dinner today! It looks like a little money bag from the olden times!

This is a mummy’s recipe; no accuracy on the ingredients; just season with experience.

Ingredients:

500 grams of Minced meat
58 pieces of Wanton skin
3 bunches of Spring onion

1 tablespoon of Corn flour
1 tablespoon of Sesame oil
1 tablespoon of Light soya sauce

Directions:

Marinate the meat with the corn flour, sesame oil and light soya sauce for at least 30mins to an hour.

Place a small teaspoon of the minced meat in the middle of the wanton skin. Fold up the wanton skins and secure it with a spring onion by tying a knot.

Deep fry the wantons till the skin turns a golden brown.

Ready to serve!
